I am delighted to inform you that the Teenage Clinic is still available to all youths aged between 13-24 years. The clinic is continuing to run weekly on a Tuesday afternoon between 3.30 - 6.30pm, no appointment is needed. There is also a walk in service available Monday to Friday mornings.

Phlebotomy Clinic

We offer blood tests daily but also start at 7.30am every Wednesday and Thursday mornings. We also offer an afternoon Phlebotomy Clinic on a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 14:00 -15:30

Update on measles outbreak declared on Merseyside

A measles outbreak has been declared on Merseyside. There are 13 confirmed and 16 suspected cases ranging in age from nine months to adults aged in their 20s. Six people, four children and two adults, required treatment in hospital. This compares to just one confirmed case on Merseyside in the first six weeks of 2011 and one in the corresponding period of 2010.

Update on Legionnaires’ Cluster Associated with a Hotel in Spain

10 February 2012, 1400hrs. The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has this week been alerted by the Spanish public health authorities about a further case of Legionnaires’ Disease in a UK resident who stayed at the Diamante Beach Hotel in Calpe, Costa Blanca, as well as two French cases. This brings the total number of UK residents associated with this cluster to 12, with three deaths.

Requests for repeat prescriptions will not be taken over the telephone.

Your doctor will review your repeat prescription regularly and may add or remove items as appropriate. Do not over order and "stock pile" medicines at home 'just in case' as it is unsafe and wasteful.

It takes 2 working days before your prescription is ready for collection.

Repeat Dispensing

If you are on regular medication which does not change and use the same pharmacy, it may be possible for you to collect your repeat prescription direct from your pharmacy every month rather than from the surgery. Please ask your doctor for information.
